Borja Barrajón
Borja Barrajón is a sculptor from Madrid who began his studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2006. Since then, he has developed a practice defined by a deep understanding of material and form. Working primarily with marble and alabaster, Barrajón creates sculptures where light, geometry, and void coexist in careful balance. Each work invites contemplation on the relationship between matter and emptiness, encouraging the viewer to reflect on the quiet dialogue between form, space, and light.
Throughout his career, Barrajón has received several recognitions, including First Prize at the International Urban Sculpture Competition in Pamplona and the Cosentino Award at the III International Sculpture Competition CAPA in Madrid. His work is held in private and public collections, museums, and municipalities.
Barrajón regularly participates in international art fairs such as Art Madrid, JustLX Lisbon, and Art Marbella, and has presented solo exhibitions including Identity of Form and The Silence of Matter. He currently lives and works in his studio on the outskirts of Madrid, where he continues to explore new sculptural forms that deepen the dialogue between space, material, and light.
