Pedestal Side Table by Elis Monsport balances a smooth geometric glass top on an organic, textured base. Developed from a lithographic collage, the design draws on fragments of memory and the artist’s dream world. Its base is formed by blowing glass into arrangements of stones, a process whose changing conditions give each piece a distinct shape and surface. The contrast between the precise tabletop and the irregular form beneath it brings sculptural experimentation to a functional object, making every table one of a kind.
